As a pianist and composer, Jeremy Woolhouse is renown for lyrical melodies and elegant use of harmony. He has been acclaimed for performance and recordings with “Woolhouse - Michailidis - Robertson” trio and jazz-tango ensemble “Estuary Three”. A leaning towards the European jazz aesthetic and influences form classical, latin and world music lend Jeremy’s music a distinctively gentle and relaxed flavour.
His latest release is an evocative album of solo piano works entitled “The Persistence of Dreaming”. Jeremy is involved in numerous projects with outstanding local and visiting artists including “Silverbeat”; a vibrant quartet featuring multi-instrumentalist Lachlan Davidson. A duet album showcasing eminent bassist Shannon Birchall is scheduled for release in 2013.
